At the helm of Advance Care Training is a dedicated team of professionals with a wide range of experience in both health and social care settings.

Lisa DuffLisa Duff

Lisa has over 20 years experience working within the public sector. She is a registered nurse (Learning Disability), and has worked in a variety of services supporting individuals with a Learning Disability, including senior management positions. Lisa undertook her bachelor degree in Health Studies, and has since worked as a lead trainer in vocational education for over 4 years, gaining her D32/33/34 awards during that time. In 2005, Lisa successfully achieved a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) for adult learners in the Health and Social Care Sector.

Karen MartinKaren Martin

Karen has worked across the health and social care sector in a variety of settings, including residential and supported living, since 1986. She is a registered nurse (learning disability) and achieved her Certificate in Management Studies in 1998 and her Post Graduate Diploma in Learning Disability Studies in 2000. Karen has worked as a lead trainer for four years utilising skills and knowledge gained from D32/33/34 as well as experience gained whilst working with individuals with varying and complex needs. In 2004, Karen gained her Post Certificate in Education (PGCE) to teach adult learners.

Advance Care Training has a dedicated team of assessors who work with the learner delivering the Diploma Qualifications in the workplace. We use additional trainers who are experts in their field, which allows Advance Care Training to offer specialised training courses.

Each course is linked to the relevant Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) units, Common Induction Standards and other Occupational Standards.
