Aim
To give learners an understanding of the principles of first aid and the treatment required in specific health emergencies.
Learning Outcomes:
- Understand different definitions in relation to First Aid.
- Identify different courses of action for different health care emergencies.
- Recognise First Aid priorities.
- Demonstrate the practical skills required for use of the recovery position and cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
- Understand the contents of a First Aid box
