We provide two routes for the training of staff supporting people with learning disabilities - a taught programme and a distance learning programme.

Taught Programme

Students complete a three day programme of taught classes (see timetable), following which they undertake four assignments. Students are supported by an allocated assessor to complete their assignments, which are then marked and verified. Cost also includes registration and certification with City & Guilds.

Timetable

Day 1 - Person Centered Approaches

Day 2 - Effective Communication

Abuse and Neglect

Day 3 - Health and Safety

Assignments/guidelines. Advice and guidance.

Distance Learning Programme

Students complete an Assessment Centre designed workbook before completing four assignments. They are supported by a named assessor via email and telephone to complete these assignments, which are then verified and certificated. Cost includes City and Guilds registration and certification.
